🏆 Real Progress. Real Wins.
When you commit to this process, things start to shift fast.
Whether it's finally finishing that first collection, landing licensing deals, or getting approached by an agent, our students are turning possibility into progress.
Shelly landed her first licensing deal within months of joining... then secured another for 30 pieces of her artwork!
Her latest licensing deal is now being considered for placement in Target, Wayfair, Michaels, Macy's, Nordstrom Rack, Home Depot, Lowe's, Walmart, and Kohl's.
Jenn landed her first licensing deal with her dream stationery company... then got selected for more product lines!
Jenn spent years creating artwork but felt stuck on how to break into licensing. Inside the program, she built her first pitch-ready portfolio and started pitching consistently. That focus led to her first deal with her dream company. Now she's designing a 2027 planner being sold at HomeGoods!
You don’t have to wait years to see traction.
A month or two from now, you could be posting about your new licensing deal in The CatCoq Collective™. 😉
With the right structure, support, and guidance, you’ll be amazed at how quickly things can change.
You're ready to go full-time with your art, but the business side feels like shouting into a void. 😩
Let's be real: making beautiful art is only half the battle.
If any of this sounds familiar, you're not alone...
❌ You're stuck spinning your wheels...
🥵 You're burned out from a job that drains you. You want to find joy in your work and make a living from your passion, art.
🤯 You've taken the courses, watched the tutorials, but real income? Still elusive.
👎 You're second-guessing everything. Is your art good enough? Marketable? What are companies even looking for?
😰 You're drowning in decisions...
🤷♀️ You’ve heard you should work in collections — but what does that even mean?
🫤 You feel directionless, creating random art without a clear vision.
🤦♀️ You’re totally overwhelmed with the business stuff. You don’t know what to focus on first that will help you actually make progress.
I get it… I’ve been there!
Hi, I’m Cat! 👋 And not long ago, I was right where you are now.
When I first started selling my artwork in 2014, I was desperate to make a little extra income. My dream? To leave my 9–5 and become a full-time artist.
So I did everything I could think of:
Hauled my prints to craft fairs at the crack of dawn
Shared my work on social media, but it felt like such a slow grow
Cold-pitched my work to brands and heard... crickets
I was throwing spaghetti at the wall, hoping something would stick.
It was frustrating, overwhelming, and honestly? Pretty lonely.
It felt like I was shouting into the void.
Fast forward - my art’s been licensed on over 1 million products!
🌴 My art licensing income has brought in 6-figures a year that allows me to travel the world full-time (and that’s from art licensing alone — not including teaching, where I’ve taught over half a million students!)
🎯 My art has been licensed on over a million products and my work is sold through dream brands like Target, Crayola, and Anthropologie.
🖼️ I’ve developed a recognizable signature style and my friends and family love to tell me when they find my artwork out “in the wild”.
😻 I get to live life on my terms. Sometimes that means answering emails with a kitten on my lap in Thailand, sometimes it means drawing on my Airbnb balcony overlooking the Amalfi Coast.
Safe to say, I’ve come a long way since I was shouting into the void 10 years ago. 😅
My artwork has gotten me some pretty high-profile brand associations over the years!
And my students have had a ton of success:
So what changed?
I stopped trying to do it all and started focusing on the right things.
I studied what brands actually wanted from artists
I created cohesive, high-impact collections
I pitched strategically with a strong portfolio that did the talking
It’s not magic. It’s not luck.
It’s a system.
And it’s the exact system I’ve built into The Art of Collections™, so you don’t have to waste years figuring it out like I did.
Ready to stop guessing and start growing?
…but don't just take it from me:
Maria landed three paid commissions, a luxury brand collaboration, and a podcast feature... all within months of joining!
Hilary turned a client "no" into seven newly licensed designs!
After a wall art client initially passed on her new designs, Hilary applied the Pitch Follow-Up business step taught in the program and asked for feedback. The client revisited her work and licensed seven designs they had originally rejected. Now she has nearly 32 designs licensed with this client and counting!
Kristin was selected for major publications and had her art chosen for a Times Square billboard... all by creating intentional collections!
Kristin created focused work and put it forward strategically. One of her collections was published in Visual Art Journal with a featured interview. Then, she landed a four-page spread in Create! Magazine.

Carol White
VP of Art Licensing | Jewel Branding & Licensing
This was a really big deal for the community. I brought in my own art agent to speak directly to CatCoq Collective members, and she absolutely delivered! Carol gave an inside look that artists rarely get to hear, straight from one of the most aspirational agencies in the industry.
Carol broke down exactly what works, what does not, and what agencies like Jewel actually want to see when reviewing artist submissions. She dropped nonstop value bombs around portfolios, collections, contracts, social media, and strategy.
Bärbel Dressler
Artist, Pattern Historian & Educator | Bear Bell Productions
Bärbel unlocked how to develop more sophisticated, confident work without losing your voice. She showed how studying historical patterns becomes a powerful resource for understanding composition, flow, and visual hierarchy.
She broke down advanced pattern composition techniques, wallpaper-scale thinking, avoiding flat stamped repeats, and why some work feels elevated. She shared insights on blending historical styles with modern licensing trends and navigating cultural appropriation versus appreciation.
Alayna Perrault
Founder & Creative Strategist | Alayna Creative
Alayna broke down email marketing and cold pitching in a way that made both feel approachable and doable for artists building licensing careers. She walked us through building and using an email list with confidence, pitching consistently without getting derailed, and researching companies step by step so pitching feels strategic instead of overwhelming.
She shared real workflows to streamline the process, save time, and make pitching more actionable and efficient. This session was packed with tactical takeaways for artists ready to approach outreach and business growth with clarity and confidence.
Krissy Mast
Surface Pattern Designer | Krissy Mast Art
Krissy went from brand-new surface designer to full-time licensing income in under two years while raising four kids and working part-time. She got signed by a top agency and landed deals with major retailers.
Krissy broke down her exact approach to pitching and follow-up, how she built a recognizable portfolio that sells, why she made specific choices about her illustration style and color palettes, and her repurposing strategies that maximize every piece of art she creates.
Melissa Johnson
Surface Pattern Designer | Melissa Johnson Design
Melissa's session was a masterclass in attracting licensing opportunities without cold pitching. She shared how she built a successful licensing career organically through Instagram by showing up consistently and treating her feed like a professional portfolio.
She broke down how passive pitching actually works, how to build relationships with brands over time, and how professionalism and small value adds lead to repeat opportunities. She offered practical guidance on presenting work and making yourself easy to work with.
Audra King
Founder | She Loves Her Biz
Audra brought something artists rarely get real support around: money. She led us through personal finance foundations specifically tailored for creative entrepreneurs, breaking down what can feel overwhelming into something calm, clear, and genuinely empowering.
She helped members understand where their money is actually going, how to align financial decisions with personal values, and how small, consistent steps create long-term stability and freedom. This session gave artists the tools and confidence to start reading the numbers, make informed choices, and build financial systems that support their creative lives.
Charly Clements
Artist & Teacher | Fun with Drawing
Charly has found major success across licensing, commissions, and freelance work. She spoke openly about navigating setbacks, including losing 70% of her income overnight, and how those disruptions became catalysts for smarter growth.
She broke down her strategy for designing with product in mind, how she leveraged fast trend cycles in greeting cards to earn thousands per month, her approach to standing out in a crowded market, and how she navigated pitching and rejection with companies that eventually came back around.
Meagan Williamson
Pinterest Marketing Expert | Pin Potential
Meagan reframed Pinterest from "one more thing to manage" into a powerful, low-pressure system that works in the background. She broke down why Pinterest matters for artists building sustainable careers.
She showed how to use Pinterest intentionally to attract art buyers, licensing directors, and product developers through keyword-rich pins, hyper-niche descriptions, and strategic portfolio linking. Meagan demystified content loops and gave artists a clear path to building evergreen traffic that compounds over time without constant content creation.
Jessi Raulet
Artist | EttaVee
Upcoming February ‘26 speaker: Jessi is a global powerhouse in the art licensing world, known for her hand-painted, vibrantly optimistic designs that have turned her brand, EttaVee, into a household name. She's landed massive collaborations with brands like Target, Pottery Barn Kids & Teen, Anthropologie, and Hallmark.
Jessi built a licensing empire that spans home decor, stationery, apparel, and more. With a "bold move" philosophy and color confidence that resonates with 150k+ followers, she's built a signature style that catches the eye of top-tier licensing executives and translates into international retail success.
When you join, you get instant access to the entire archive of past speakers, plus the ability to attend future calls live.

Is The Art of Collections™ Right For Me?
First and foremost, The Art of Collections™ will teach you the art of business.
You won't learn any specific art skills or programs.
Rather, this is for developing artists who are looking to refine their portfolio, learn how to design marketable collections, grow their art licensing business, and make a full-time living from their art.
Artists of all media and styles are encouraged to join. This accelerator helps artists across the board make strategic collections and pitch them well. Whether you’re digital or analog, there’s a space for you here!
The Art of Collections™ is perfect for you if:
🫵 You’re a motivated artist looking for accountability and support to break out of your part-time side hustle and finally take your art business full-time.
💸 Your portfolio is stagnant and not getting much traction or sales. You need expert support to figure out how to make it more attractive to your buyers and clients.
👀 You have the skills to create brilliant illustrations and repeat patterns, but you're struggling to get your art in front of the right people.
💰 You have a growing body of work, but need guidance on how to make it commercially-viable and find the perfect brands to pitch it to.
🫶 You’re still working on finding your signature style and want support and mentorship as you grow.
⏳ You’re serious about building a full-time career or lucrative side-hustle as an artist and are willing to dedicate the time it takes to make it happen.
📊 You’re unsure about the business-side of things. You want to feel comfortable in negotiations, and don't want to come across as inexperienced when working with clients.
This isn’t a good fit for you if:
🩹 You're looking for a quick fix and aren’t willing to put in the work to grow your art business.
⌛️ You don’t have the time or capacity to create new artwork alongside the program.
🚫 You’re a hobbyist who isn’t interested in making money from your art.
❓ You’re not yet familiar with creating repeat patterns or original illustrations, and aren’t planning to learn those skills either before joining or alongside the program.
I've taught over 500,000 students.
For over 10 years, I’ve built a full-time career as an artist while traveling the world. I’ve grown my art licensing income to six figures a year—and that’s just from surface design alone, not even counting my teaching business!
I’m not sharing this to brag (it still makes me super uncomfortable to talk about), but to let you know that you’re learning from someone who’s actually still doing this for a living every day. I’ve “walked the walk,” and now, I’m here to show you how to do the same.
Nothing makes me happier than helping other artists find the freedom to do what they love. I’ve taught over half a million students, and now I’m excited to bring all my knowledge and experience to you through The Art of Collections™.
Join me for six months of support as I hold your hand and guide you step-by-step in creating collections that will take your art career full-time. You’ve got this! 💪
Susan landed licensing deals that put her art in Target, Michaels, Bed Bath and Beyond, Wayfair, Lowe's, and Walmart!
Nat pushed past her fear of "not being ready" and signed her first licensing contract!
Nat had been putting off pitching for months, thinking she needed more collections and more work. The program gave her the push she needed. Within weeks after pitching, she signed her first licensing contract, proving you don't need a massive portfolio to start landing deals.
Aby went from pitch paralysis to landing multiple deals and getting approached by an agency!
Aby finally overcame the mental block that kept her from pitching. Once she joined the program, she started pitching consistently. For the first time in her life, Aby hit €1,000 in monthly income from her art.
But will this really work for me?
If you’ve read this far, I know you’re interested but may still have a few nagging worries holding you back. Things like…
I’ve invested in other big programs that didn’t work out. What’s so different about this one?
The Art of Collections™ creates action through structure. Most courses give you information and leave you to figure out implementation alone. This program gives you a clear monthly roadmap, active challenges that keep you creating, and a community that holds you accountable.
The difference is the system itself. You're not just consuming content and hoping you follow through. You're following a proven framework with built-in accountability that actually gets you to execute.
Deep down, I’m worried that I may not be talented enough to make it in art licensing…
So many artists struggle with imposter syndrome, myself included! Often, this feeling comes when we’re constantly comparing ourselves to others in the industry.
In this program, you’ll learn to combat this by making marketable art that is true to your unique artistic voice. You’ll also learn the exact steps for choosing motifs with strong selling power.
As you build your collections throughout this accelerator, you’ll gain newfound confidence knowing that you are following the exact steps I followed to build a successful career.
I’m so busy, I’m not sure I have enough time…
Do you have a few focused hours a week? That’s all you’ll need to make your full-time art dreams a reality. I totally get it if you’re working a day job or busy caring for family. But if you’re serious about growing your art business, it’s worth carving out the time.
The best part? This program focuses on the essential tasks you need to do to see progress. You’ll have a clear, simple goal each month instead of feeling overwhelmed by trying to do all the things.
The industry is saturated. I’ve been on POD sites for years and haven’t made a single sale. How do I know this will work?
The reason you may be seeing slow sales isn’t solely because the industry is saturated. It’s because you haven’t found the right “home” for your artwork.
I’ve been following a lot of emerging artists, and the ones who are growing and making sales have a few things in common:
They have a cohesive and clear body of work, they’ve found the companies and customers that are the right fit for their work, and they’re strategic about the kind of art they create.
We address all three of these in The Art of Collections™ so you’ll be able to confidently find your place in this industry.

I usually post call schedules about a month or two in advance, and replays are always available if you can't attend live.

You have lifetime access to The Art of Collections™ course content. This means you can return to the videos, lessons, and all course resources anytime, whether you want to review a specific concept, refresh your strategy, or revisit the material months or even years down the road.
You receive 6 months of access to the community, The CatCoq Collective™. After your six months are complete, you'll have the option to continue your community access on a month-by-month basis for a small monthly fee if you'd like to stay connected.
Many members choose to remain in the community beyond their initial six months so they can continue learning, participating in calls, and staying plugged into the support and momentum."

Portions of it are! The recorded program videos are entirely self-paced, so you can watch the videos on your own schedule.
We also have a monthly live call and an active & engaged community, so you can interact with your classmates and get all your questions answered. 💪
-
No. This is the only place to access The Art of Collections™.
-
Nope. The Art of Collections™ is not software-specific because we don’t teach or walk through any software inside the program. You can work in whatever medium or tools you already use, since the focus isn’t on how to make art.
This is not a step-by-step art-making tutorial. The Art of Collections™ is a higher-level business accelerator focused on helping you create strategic, pitch-ready work.
You’ll design from monthly prompts and creative briefs that guide what to create and how to think about your portfolio so it’s aligned with art directors and licensing opportunities.
This program is about turning your existing skills into artwork that’s positioned to land licensing deals.
-
Nope! This isn’t a drawing class, and it's not specific to one single art medium. The Art of Collections™ is inclusive for all artists, no matter what artistic medium you prefer.
Instead, this is a higher-level business accelerator focused on what to create and how to build a strategic, pitch-ready portfolio for licensing.
You’ll work from monthly prompts and design briefs that help you make intentional decisions about your artwork, regardless of whether you work digitally, traditionally, or in mixed media.
The program is designed to support artists at many different stages and across many different mediums, as long as you’re ready to apply your existing skills toward commercial and licensing opportunities.
-
The Art of Collections™ is $1,997 when you pay in full or $367 per month for six months. This will unlock lifetime access the program videos (7+ hours) as well as six months of access to structured support and mentorship through our community.
-
Yep, absolute beginners are welcome inside The Art of Collections! Many members join without prior licensing experience and use the program to learn how the art licensing world works, how portfolios are evaluated, and what art directors actually look for.
Even if you've never made a collection before, you can join. One student even landed her first licensing deal with the first 3 collections she made during the Monthly Challenges.
You don't need to have everything figured out when you join. The program is designed to give you structure, clarity, and direction so you can grow confidently, even if you're at the very beginning of your journey.
-
Absolutely okay! You don’t need to have created a collection before to join.
This program is beginner friendly, and many students come in having never made a collection at all. Inside the program, we walk through the strategies for creating strong, intentional collections and how to think about them in a marketable way.
A lot of students create their very first collection while they’re inside the Collective by following our monthly briefs, alongside others who are doing the same thing.
Some members are brand new, some have made collections before, but everyone is learning how to optimize and strengthen their work.
If you’ve never created a collection, you’re not behind. You’re in exactly the right place to start.
-
Absolutely. Many members join with years of art experience but want to learn the business side of licensing - how to create strategic collections that sell, pitch effectively to major retailers, and navigate contracts and negotiations.
Even if you're confident in your artistic skills, The Art of Collections teaches you how to think like an art director, identify what companies are actually looking for, and position your work to land deals.
You'll also get access to industry expert guest speakers who are actively working in the industry, trend insights that inform your collection development, and a community of artists at various stages who can offer perspective and support.
If you've been creating art but haven't been landing consistent licensing deals, this program helps you bridge that gap.
-
Six months is a very intentional timeframe. The program is built around a clear six-month roadmap designed to help you move from where you are now to a strong, strategic, pitch-ready portfolio.
Over the six months, you’ll work through focused monthly prompts and design briefs that guide you through creating cohesive collections, refining your work, and building momentum without feeling rushed or overwhelmed.
By the end of the six months, most students have created multiple collections, gained clarity on their style and direction, and have started confidently pitching their work to art directors. The structure is designed to keep you moving forward consistently, while still allowing flexibility for real life.
If, after your six months, you'd like to stay connected and continue inside the community, you'll have the option to renew your access on a month-by-month basis for a small monthly fee. Many members choose to stay longer so they can continue building, pitching, and growing alongside the community at their own pace.
-
This program is intentionally designed to be flexible and to fit around real life. Many students travel, take breaks, or move at different paces during their six months, and that’s completely expected.
If, at the end of your six months, you’d like more time or simply don’t want to lose access to the community, you’ll have the option to continue on a month-to-month basis.
That way, you can stay connected, keep learning, and move at a pace that works for you, without losing your progress or access.
-
This program is designed for artists who are serious about making progress, but it’s also built to be flexible.
To get the most out of The Art of Collections™, I recommend carving out a few dedicated hours each week. That time is typically spent creating artwork for your monthly collection or mini-collection, engaging with the community, and working through the pitching process, which I walk you through inside the program.
That said, every student works on their own timeline. Some members are balancing this alongside full-time jobs or family commitments, while others are able to dedicate much more time.
The 6-Month Roadmap is there to support that flexibility. If you miss a week or even a month, you’re not “behind.” You can pick up exactly where you left off and always know what step to focus on next.
The program is intentionally structured to work at your own pace. Consistent, focused effort matters more than doing everything at once.
Even small, regular steps add up to real momentum over time, and that’s exactly how many students make meaningful progress inside the program.
-
This is one of the most common fears I hear, and it’s often driven by imposter syndrome rather than reality.
The truth is, the fastest way to grow is to start. By creating work intentionally and putting a stake in the ground, you give yourself something real to build from. Progress comes from doing, not waiting until everything feels perfect.
Just as important is who you’re surrounded by. Inside this program, you’re in a room with motivated artists who are actively working toward licensing goals. Spending time alongside people who are creating, learning, and pushing forward changes how you see your own work. Growth accelerates when you’re not doing it alone.
-
That’s completely normal, and it’s something many members are actively working through inside the program. Style doesn’t appear fully formed. It develops through intentional creation, repetition, and refinement.
The Art of Collections™ is built around monthly prompts, feedback, and community support, which gives you space to explore, experiment, and learn what resonates.
If you’re feeling unsure about your style or direction, this is actually a great place to be. You’re creating with purpose, receiving thoughtful input, and growing alongside others who are navigating the same questions.
-
This program is taught by someone who is actively working in art licensing today. I’m not teaching theory or outdated strategies.
I’m sharing what’s happening right now in my own licensing business, including conversations with clients, what they’re asking for, and how deals actually come together.
You’re also learning from more than just me. I regularly bring in people from my own licensing network, including my art licensing agents and other successful artists who are actively securing deals.
You’re getting insight from multiple perspectives, not just one path.
On top of that, the community includes people at many different stages, from those landing their first deals to those expanding existing ones. That range of real-world experience is a big part of what makes this program different.
-
While licensing is the core focus of the program, it’s far from the only meaningful outcome. As the community has grown, I’ve seen members experience a wide range of professional breakthroughs.
These include features in publications, podcast interviews, custom commissions, product lines, book covers, coloring books, pop ups, brand collabs, client work, and even large-scale visibility moments like a billboard in Times Square.
Beyond external opportunities, many members talk about internal shifts. They gain confidence in their work, clarity around what to create next, accountability to stay consistent, and momentum they haven’t felt in years. Some are building their very first collections.
Others are finally creating at a pace that feels sustainable. Progress shows up in many forms, and all of it moves you closer to long-term success.
-
Feeling nervous about pitching is completely normal, especially if you’ve never done it before. You do not need pitching experience to join.
Inside the program, I walk you through exactly how pitching works, step by step. We break down the process, remove the mystery, and make it feel manageable.
You’ll also have access to resources, examples, and community discussions where both members and I share what’s working, what clients are responding to, and how to approach outreach with confidence. You’re not expected to figure this out alone.
-
The program is built around a clear 6-Month Roadmap so you always know where you are and what to focus on next. If you miss a week or even a month, you’re not off track. You can pick up exactly where you left off without needing to catch up on everything at once.
Everyone works on their own timeline. Some members are balancing this alongside full-time jobs and family life. Others are dedicating more time. Both approaches are valid. Consistent, intentional steps matter far more than speed.
-
I don't have a set date for when doors will open again. Once this round closes, my full attention goes to the artists inside the program - supporting them through their collections, pitching strategies, and breakthroughs.
The artists who see the best results are the ones who commit and dive in rather than waiting for the "perfect" time. This round kicks off in February, which means you could have multiple collections built and be actively pitching by summer.
This is your opportunity. I'd love to see you inside!
-
Yes. Art licensing is not dependent on your location or nationality. We have members from all over the world, and licensing opportunities are global.
As one example, I recently met up with a student in Hong Kong while I was on vacation. Over coffee, we realized we both license with the same French company, which was a fun and very real reminder that this industry is international.
Licensing deals are based on the strength of your work and how it’s positioned, not where you live.
